It is with sadness that our family needs to let you know,
Dad peacefully fell asleep this morning at 8:35 and is now resting and awaiting the call
of His Savior at His soon approaching second coming.
Thank you all for sharing your love and friendship with him for 87+ years, it meant the world to him. Know that he loved you all, his dear family and friends, very much.
And though his amazing love for Jesus, his infectious smile, jovial spirit,
and positive attitude, will be greatly missed, we can rest assured that if WE are faithful,
we WILL see him again and share an eternity together
where there will be no more tears or goodbyes.
☀︎
A celebration of his life and the good times he had will be held on:
October 21, 2023 at 3:00 pm
in the Hendersonville Seventh-day Adventist Church
2301 Asheville Hwy, Hendersonville, NC 28791.
The service will be live streamed at:
https://www.hendersonvilleadventists.org/
Aloha wear and bright colors are optional though encouraged.
Blessings and Aloha

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord,
the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day – and not only to me
but also to all who have longed for His appearing.”
2 Timothy 4:7-8

When loved ones have to part
To help us feel we are with them still
And soothe a grieving heart
They span the years and warm our lives
Our memories build a special bridge
And bring us peace of mind.
To help us feel we are with them still
And soothe a grieving heart
They span the years and warm our lives
Our memories build a special bridge
And bring us peace of mind.
I'm Free
Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free,
I'm following the path God laid for me.
I took his hand when I heard his call,
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to love, to work, to play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way,
I've found that peace at the close of the day.
If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Ah yes, these things I too will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow,
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My Life's been full, I savoured much,
Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch,
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief,
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and share with me,
God wanted me now, He set me free.
Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free,
I'm following the path God laid for me.
I took his hand when I heard his call,

Scarlett and I loved you very much Stanley.
I'm devastated by your loss, but I know you're with Louis
and surrounded by loved ones. I wish we had gotten back together sooner.
I'll always remember meeting you. You were my first next door neighbor
when I moved to Hendersonville. You'd bring me fruits and veggies, and
brought clothing donations from Church for Scarlett. You were
essentially Scarlett and I's "grandpa" Stanley.
I'll always cherish our dinners and lunches. Your love for Olive
Garden and getting your eggplant .. it never ceased to amaze me how
you were able to clean your plate despite the portions.. I could never
do that!
I'll always cherish the trip to Hawaii back in 2018. Scarlett and I
flew out to spend 2 weeks with you. You said to get the tickets, and
everything else would be taken care of. I never believed I'd get the
chance to spend time on Kauai with Scarlett, Let alone 2 weeks.
You were the best tour guide and showed me the best local spots. I laugh
when I think back on Anahola beach and the sea cucumbers
I know you're enjoying your eternal Hawaiian sunrises and sunsets with
your beloved.
Maybe my Nanny Hazel is up there enjoying them with my
Pa as well. You always were so kind and loving. You did more for me
than my own family.
You'd literally give the shirt off of your back to
anyone in need.
You devoted all of your time, focus, and energy on helping EVERYONE.
I'm just thinking back and remembering you and all that you've done
and all the memories we've shared in my 6 years of having the pleasure
of knowing you. There is so much more I can say.
Love and will miss you Stanley Vera Cruz.
